5/29/10: First “new guy” rehearsal a huge success The first orientation session for new members took place on May 27 at QCHS. New members and veteran members kicked off the 2010-2011 campaign with an intense, yet fun first night! The next two pre-season sessions, which are for all members, will take place on June 2 and June 7 from 6:00 - 8:30 PM at the high school.
4/19/10: Kirk, Selena, and Ashley will represent the QCHS Band and PMEA District Eleven at the PMEA All-state festival! Only a very select group of students from the state of PA earn the opportunity to perform at the ALL-State Festival. Selena and Ashley will perform with the All-State Concert Band. Kirk will perform with the All-State Wind Ensemble. The concerts will take place on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at the David Lawrence Conference Center in Pittsburgh, PA.
2/17/10: Quakertown student selected for Bands Of America National Honor Band Read the official press release here.
2/17/10: Five Quakertown students qualify for PMEa Region-State Band. Ashley (french horn), Kirk (tuba), Joel (euphonium), Greg (bass clarinet), and Selena (alto clarinet) completed the re-audition process at Lower Merion High School on Feb. 13. All five students are moving on to Region Six Band to be held at Philadelphia’s Northeast High School, from March 25 - 27, 2010. Selena, Greg, and Joel finished in first place in their respective sections. CONGRATULATIONS!
